These look great! We are in the middle of correlating all of our standards and assessments to the common core writing!! Can I ask...how did you go about creating assessments for math (if your district has)?? Just looking for some help since they are leaving all of the creating to us!
ReplyDeleteWe use a math series aligned to the Common Core. This is our first year with the series and we are not sure if we will keep it or use another series aligned to the Common Core. I find even with the series, my students need added small group practice in the form of centers. My first graders love, love, math centers. It makes me happy that I can make learning fun for them by tying it in with a theme.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. A lot of other teachers ask me how I have time to add small group centers, but I can't imagine not giving them this kind of informal practice. I usually reserve Fridays for math games and centers day. Thanks as always for your great work.
