Five for Friday, March 5th

08 March 2013

I am linking up again with Kacey of Doodle Bugs for my Five for Friday.

Here is some randoms from my week:

1.  It snowed a little bit last night and this is Niles, my 13 and half year old Long-Haired Chihuahua, in it.  He is not a fan of snow or steps!

2.  I am LOVING the way my new color laser printer prints!  It makes packets look like professional print jobs.  Click on the picture to check it out my LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw printer
*Click here to check out Rachelle's Common Core Galore Checklist for First Grade.

3.  I am still updating my Letter Writing Unit.  I wish I were done already so I could start making new products!  I am a perfectionist and don't like that the old packet did not have black-line pages and I am adding in Common Core Standards where I can.  Plus, I came up with some new ideas and tracers.  It just keeps snowballing!  Ugh, it is going to be huge!

4.  I really love Zico Chocolate coconut water!  I think it tastes like Yoohoo!  You can find it at Stop and Shop or do what I do and order it online from Amazon.  I order everything from there because I have the Prime Account.

5.  This one is actually not so random!  Here are the winners of the Lucky Giveway!  Congratulations!  I will email you the file.  Thank you to everyone who participated.

Happy Friday!

  1. I am sooooo jealous you got a laser printer! {Isn't that a comment that only a teacher would make? Haha} I'd love to know if you think it's worth the money! I gave you a shout out in my "Five for Friday." You 'inspired' me with your ant unit!

    Lucky to Be in First

  2. Thanks for the shout out! Yes, it was so worth it! LOVE it.

  3. I NEED that printer!!! It looks awesome. How many pages do you think you will get from the ink cartridges?

    Extra Special Teaching

    1. So far I have printed a ton of stuff and the ink is not streaking or anything. I think it will last way longer than ink jet.

  4. Laser Printer!!! LOVE!!!!
I can't wait to try that coconut water - I quit Diet Coke 8 days, 9 hours, 46 mn and 5 seconds ago, so I'm looking for alternatives.
    Niles is adorable!
    Smiles - Lisa
    Growing Firsties

    1. I quit Diet Pepsi around September. I used to drink it everyday! Now, I let myself have it once a week, if I have pizza.

  5. Is chocolate coconut water better than regular...because regular kinda makes me gag. Not gonna lie :) Maybe I'll have to try it!
    Kickin' it in Kindergarten

    1. Yes, it is way better. I do drink the regular and it takes getting used to.

  6. I am seriously considering the laser jet printer. Our school only has black and white and I so badly wish I could have color on my station activities!

  7. Can't wait to see your updated letter writing unit! If we already purchased your old one, will we be able to download the new one? Or are you going to make it a entirely new listing? I am VERY jealous of your new laser printer... I have an old ink jet that I use in my classroom for colored projects but I am constantly out of ink... :( Might have to upgrade soon! :)

    The Applicious Teacher

    1. I am just going to update the current one. You will be able to re-download for the updates.

  8. Your doggy is adorable!

Like everybody else I am super jealous of your new toy! I've already put a laser printer on my Christmas list for next year. It's never to early, right?

    Lattes and Laughter

  9. Erica I have been searching and searching for a "ink friendly" printer! Because you spoke so highly of this one I researched it on Amazon (and the rest of the internet) and decided to buy it (I did find it even cheaper yesterday at Staples (like $100 cheaper than Amazon). I hooked it up today and so far I LOVE it! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
