Back to School Teacher Style

04 September 2016

I love to shop and I thought to myself, why not share my teacher style outfits on my blog?   So here I am.  I am no model; just your average petite (5'2), 30-something teacher.

I cannot believe school starts for me on Tuesday and the kids come on Wednesday!  I thought I would share some of my back to school teacher looks with you.   Mind you, we don't have AC so most of my outfits are going to be a bit summery at first!

Before you shop any of the looks, make sure you activate your EBATES.  If you don't have it, here is my referral link.
This is going to be my first day with kids outfit.
  1. Dress - Loft
  2. Shoes - Dillards - Arturo Chiang
  3.  Alex and Ani from Nordstrom
  4.  Earrings - Kendra Scott
  5. Necklace - Kate Spade - Nordstrom

This will probably be my staff development day outfit (minus the clutch).
  1. Dress (Sold Out)- SheIn (Similar one HERE)
  2. Sandals - Tory Burch - Nordstrom
  3. Bracelets - Alex and Ani
  4. Ring - Gorjana

  1. SheIn Dress (sold out) - Shop Similar SheIn ones HERE
  2. Wedges (sold out) - Shop Similar Ones
This dress might be a bit too fancy for work.  It has a bit of a shine to it.  I may dress down with a denim jacket and flats.  It was on sale because it was a Spring dress.  I am big on buying at the end of the season and saving for the next near!
  1. SheIn Dress
  2. Kendra Scott Necklace
  3. Wedges (sold out) - Shop Similar Ones

I have to say that SheIn, is a cheap site with cute clothes but they are see through!  You are going to need a slip to go under most things.  I LOVE the SPANX slip below from Nordstrom.  It is not going to really suck you in, like you would think SPANX would, but it stays in place and is not too long.

A denim jacket should be a staple in every teachers's wardrobe!
  1. Jacket - LOFT past season - Shop similar Target Jacket {HERE}
  2. Dress - SheIn
  3. Earrings - Gorjana
  4. Necklace - Gorjana

  1. LOFT dress
  2. Sandals - Tory Burch - Nordstrom
Every teacher needs a comfy outfit.  Here is mine:
2.  Leggings - LuLaRoe - my friend Melissa's shop - or (Similar ones from Target HERE)
3.  Tieks Flats - Yes, they are really comfy!

The Lush Tunic works well for rainy days, too.
  1.  Top - Lush Tunic - Nordstrom
  2.  Leggings - LuLaRoe - my friend Melissa's shop or (Similar ones from Target HERE)
  3. Hunter Boots - Nordstrom
  4. Cardigan - Nordstrom
  5. Tank - Nordstrom
  6. Earrings - Nordstrom

Here is my new favorite weekend look from Target:

One more thing you must look into: a steamer.   My aunt got me one and my life was forever changed.

*This is my closet room (I don't have kids ok).   I plan on blogging about it on Old House Charm when I get all the photographs done.

I hope you enjoyed these back to school looks!  Please, note that this post contains affiliate links.

I don't want to change the direction of my EricaBohrer instagram, so I am going to use my EBTeacherStyle instagram account for fashion, I hope you can follow me there. I would love to hear feedback about this type of post.

  1. Love seeing all of your outfits! It's also nice seeing a different type of blog post. Being a former teacher turned stay at home mom, a lot of the 'in classroom' posts don't relate to me anymore, but your fashion one did! Thanks for sharing!

    1. They don't have an arch. They are just flat and rubber on the bottom. I hope that helps.

  4. LOVE this post :) I'm not allowed to ever wear t-shirts at school (against the dress code), but the Nap Queen t-shirt will get plenty of use on the weekend :)

    1. I can only wear t-shirts on dress down days. As I said in my post, I will wear mine on weekends, too. :)

  5. Our school has a strict dress code. We can't wear sandals (or any shoes that show our toes) and we can't show our kneecaps. Our dresses and skirts have to be longer than yours. Also, if we wear leggings, we still have to wear something over them that covers our knees. Otherwise your outfits look cute and comfy!

    1. I would say it is along the same quality lines as Forever 21. I wouldn't buy pants or sweaters from them but for dresses, I have found them fine...just see through!
