Fit4School: Free Resources and More

I am here to tell you about Fit4Schools, a free health activation program from Sanford Health developed with WebMD.

Fit4Schools
  • Empowers children and families to make healthy lifestyle choices a habit
  • Includes fun free resources aligned to national standards
  • Has weekly challenges
  • Focuses on the Four Key Factors of Healthy Living: Mood, Food, Recharge, & Move
  • Includes fitBoost: brain breaks for the classroom

The site is organized into the four Key Factors of Healthy Living: MoodFoodRecharge, & Move

I am a firm believer in healthy eating and always eat a fruit or veggie at snack times.   The kiddos get so excited when we have the same snack.  They say things like, "Oh, Miss Bohrer we are twinning!  We both have apples for snack today."

Here are sample images from their Recharge section.  We did the free slide show on energy level and completed the My Energy free printable recently.   As with all the sections, it was easy to do, check it out below:


The battery page is a wonderful way for students to be more self-aware of their energy levels.  I agree with my kiddo below, I know my energy level at home is in the red and that I need to work on getting to bed on time.

One of the easiest things to do with your students is the fitBoost.  Your students will love the spinning, slot machine style, activity choice combos.
